I recommend treating an EPK as a working tool for buyers, promoters, agents, and media—not as a scrapbook. It should make the most important information easy to find within a few seconds.
At minimum, include:
- A concise artist biography in short and full versions
- Current promotional photographs in downloadable high resolution
- Representative music that plays without requiring an account
- At least one strong live-performance video
- Genre, hometown, and a clear description of the act
- Notable performances, support slots, press, or achievements
- Booking and media contact information
- Links to the official website and active social profiles
For booking use, I would also include an updated stage plot, input list, hospitality or technical rider when appropriate, upcoming dates, and truthful performance-history information. Audience figures can be useful when they include context, such as location and date.
Keep everything mobile-friendly and provide one stable link. Avoid oversized email attachments, autoplay media, broken links, outdated member information, exaggerated claims, and forcing a buyer to search multiple services for basic details.
rhythmhoüz members can use the Artist/Band tools to organize these materials into a professional public presence, including biography, music, video, photographs, press, calendar, performance history, and technical information. If your Band page is incomplete, use this checklist as an update plan. If you do not yet have one, create your member profile and add your band to rhythmhoüz.
